Forlì Celebrates Scientology Volunteers' Impact on Flood Recovery
Forlì, Italy – June 25, 2024 – On June 4, 2024, Forlì commemorated the one-year anniversary of the devastating floods in Emilia Romagna, honoring volunteers, including the Scientology Volunteer Ministers, who played a crucial role in recovery efforts. Led by Mayor Gian Luca Zattini, the ceremony highlighted the volunteers' significant impact.In May 2023, severe flooding displaced 1,000 residents and caused €8.8 billion in damages. Amidst the chaos, Scientology Volunteer Ministers emerged as key players in recovery, removing mud, clearing debris, and providing essential supplies like food and water. Their unique contribution included offering emotional and spiritual support through “assists” based on techniques by Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard, aiding flood victims in achieving stability and peace.
Following the event, Volunteer Ministers set up yellow tents in Piazza Saffi, inviting the public to explore Scientology Tools for Life—a series of free online courses addressing various life challenges.
